Salary Range: $85,000 -$95,000

 

Position Summary

The Assistant Director, Emergency Management and Compliance oversees all day-to-day aspects of the student volunteer ambulance service (CUEMS).  They will manage safety, compliance, and risk management training, and other related initiatives for Columbia Health. CUEMS responsibilities include human and non-human resource management, planning and policy development, emergency operations, direct patient care, and student advising. Safety, risk management, & compliance responsibilities include all staff orientation and training, emergency planning and management,  supervision of team meetings and initiatives, and leading Columbia Health participation in University compliance functions. The Assistant Director, Emergency Management and Compliance will serve as administrator and BLS Supervisor providing direct patient care, shift supervision and ensuring coverage for continuity of services in emergency situations.

This is a full-time onsite role.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 4 years of supervisory/management experience
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years ALS Provider experience
  • Active BLS Provider certification
  • Active ALS Provider license (AEMT-C or Paramedic) New York or will have New York license prior to start
  • Emergency vehicle operator certification
  • CPR Instructor or immediately eligible
  • Experience in non-profit or volunteer service management
  • Experience with online learning platforms, PowerPoint, and curriculum development

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • ALS experience in NY State
  • Active BLS Instructor certification
  • Experience in higher education and working with college-aged individuals
  • Budget management, purchasing, and inventory control experience preferred
